I'm thinking it'd have to be back into the ear somehow. Is it on the driver mounting plate, allowing the port to exit between the driver and the earpad on the inside edge of the earpad? Just guessing. This'd make them a ported planar enclosure. That's perhaps a first!

I'm actually looking for one right now. If I find one, we can compare notes. Or, if you plan to sell yours please let me know!

I would like to suggest that it is you who should be making apologies. If a mere hobby can get you this "brassed off" then you have some serious problems. Everyone has different opinions on what they like in this an any other hobby, and this forum exists so people can share their experiences and opinions. Cool down and enjoy the music!

All this talk about amps and voltages has me thinking of my Acoustat rig! Let's see, those amps put out 5.4 kV peak-to-peak via a balanced output. Bias charge is also 5.4 kV. A bit high for stax, yes? Seriously, though, this has me thinking of padding down the 5.4 kV power supply, which has a 1900 V transformer going through a voltage tripler stage. Perhaps I could have a…

Yes. I spent the time to report each and every one of those to Ebay hours ago. Looks like they plan on getting right on the case.

I have regular ol' Sigmas and Lambda Pros. I drive both with an SRM1/MKII (mine has a jack for both high and low bias). I gotta say the Lambda Pros don't take much airtime away from the Sigmas at my place. The best way to describe the sound of the Sigmas compared to the Lambda Pro is just more "musical". Of course I listen to a Linn LP12, which has been…

Good point. I actually use an automated bidding program because I know I am very capable of last-minute emotional over-bidding. I'll keep looking. I've heard mixed reports on the EQ's with the Lambdas, but I'd like to hear for myself.

Darn, I really wanted this for my old Lambdas:http://cgi.ebay.com/STAX-Model-ED-1-...QQcmdZViewItem My bid wasn't really that close to that price! Do these things usually pull down that kind of money? Yikes!

There's a T1 on Audiogon right now:http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls....ube&1173825154 Not sure if that's a going rate or not. I am tempted but I really don't have the cash right now. Perhaps someone here can buy it before I do something stupid?

Okay, so I'm still new but I just spent quite a few spare moments at work reading this entire thread. I don't guess that makes me a Stax guru, but I certainly feel like I learned something! Still deciding which I like better from my SRM1/MKII... the Sigmas or the Lambda Pros. Either way, both are good!
